THE GOSPEL
The gospel begins with God.
Before there was sin, a cross or a need for salvation, there was God. He created all things and made you for His glory.
One story. Five necessary truths.
To understand the good news, we must first understand who God is, what has happened to us, and what Jesus Christ has done.
CREATION
God created you for His glory.
You are not here by accident. God created you, gave you life, and has rightful authority over you. We were created to know Him, glorify Him, and live according to His will.

You have turned from God.
REBELLION
Adam and Eve disobeyed God, and by one man sin entered into the world. Since then, every one of us has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Sin is more than making mistakes—it is rebellion against God and His rightful authority over our lives.

Your sin has made you an enemy of God .
SEPARATION
God is holy and righteous. He cannot simply ignore our sin. We stand guilty before Him, and the consequence of sin is death and judgment. We cannot repair this separation through religion, good works, baptism, or becoming a better person.

God has provided salvation through Jesus Christ.
CHRIST
We could not make ourselves right with God, so God did for us what we could never do for ourselves.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came into the world without sin. He died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose again from the dead. Through His death and resurrection, forgiveness and reconciliation with God are offered to guilty sinners.

What must I do to be saved?
RESPONSE
Salvation cannot be earned. You cannot make yourself right with God through religion, good works, baptism, or by simply becoming a better person.
The biblical response to the gospel is repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. Repentance means a change of mind toward God—recognizing that you are a guilty sinner who has rebelled against Him and turning to Him for mercy. Faith means trusting Jesus Christ and what He has done for you, rather than trusting yourself or your own works.
When the Philippian jailer asked, “What must I do to be saved?”, the answer was:
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.”
